Traffic without conversions is just an expensive way to make Google money. Are your visitors becoming customers?
Conversion health measures every mechanic on your site that turns a passive visitor into an actionable lead — a phone call, a form fill, a booking, a chat. This is the pillar most small businesses skip because it feels non-technical, but it's the pillar where the money actually shows up. You can rank #1 for every keyword in your industry, and if your homepage doesn't clearly tell visitors what to do next, you'll still be broke.
Small increases in conversion rate compound harder than any other lever on your website. A jump from a 1% to a 2% contact-form conversion rate doubles your leads without a single new visitor. Doubling your organic traffic, on the other hand, usually takes 6–12 months of SEO work. Conversion fixes typically ship in a day and pay for themselves the same week. It's also the pillar where the fixes are cheapest — most cost less than a dinner out.
Your phone number should be in the top-right of your header, on every single page, formatted as a click-to-call link so mobile visitors can tap once and dial. This is the single highest-ROI conversion fix we find on small-business sites, and roughly half of the sites we scan get it wrong. Either the number's hidden in the footer, buried on a Contact page, or it's plain text so mobile users have to copy-paste it into their dialer (they don't).
Contact forms should exist on every service page (not just a dedicated /contact page), and they should have three fields max: name, email, and message. Every additional field drops completion rate by roughly 10%. We flag missing forms, forms buried below the fold, forms that ask for 12 things before someone can say hello, and forms without an email input at all.
Call-to-action buttons should tell visitors exactly what happens when they click. "Learn More" is a bad CTA. "Book Free Consult" is a good CTA. "Get Pricing in 60 Seconds" is a great CTA. We grade every above-the-fold button on your homepage for verb clarity, outcome specificity, visual prominence, and whether the button contrast passes accessibility standards.
